this week, DiGi is having some crazy bonanza at 1Utama. on thursday, while i was having lunch, some people that i followed in twitter posted some update regarding the event. immediately i told my friend about the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is selling for RM99 in the event.

kialoon have a unit of Curve in his hand at that moment, so i borrow from him to play play a bit so that i won't regret after buying one. once i hold the phone in hand, i know this time die, kena poison again, must buy. so after lunch, we plan to go 1U together on friday morning to queue for the phone.

we reached 1Utama at about 9am on friday morning. so early, already about 80 people queue-ing for the phone & netbook. by then we know our chances of getting the phone is extremely low. after about 3 hrs of queue, the phone sold out. later on after we check the promo website at 8pm, we decided to go 1Utama once again to queue overnight.
this time, we reached at 1am to ensure we are in the queue for the 44 units of curve. luckily we were the last few person in the queue for the curve. we were queue-ing outside of fcuk shop. some havoc happened when we move on to Oval at 6am. the roller shuttle was down, and there's already another group of people queue-ing there. previously the security in 1Utama have promise us that we will be the first group to be in the queue as they don't allow us to queue inside the complex.
due to the mess, when the DiGi people came, they disperse us from the floor. later on, the management announce priority is given to existing DiGi customer. me & 2 other friends are very frustrated as the day before, we've double confirm with the promoter we are able to do MNP or subscribe to a new number.
this is really unfair to us as we waited whole night long, end up going home empty handed while those that came at 8am, got their curve. is this how DiGi run their business? i'm sure that they may gain royalty from their existing subscriber but definitely they will lose their trust on potential customer.
i've read Danny's blog, his friend is getting a unit of Curve 8900 later this week from DiGi as compensation after she complained about this to DiGi. I want the same too, and that's the only compensation i will agree with as well.
i hope in future event, DiGi can have a better plan at least inform the public what time should they start queue and better sync up in between organizer and the management of event venue.
